Herkimer-ARC Hosts Enabler Golf Tournament

The Herkimer-ARC, which is dealing with heavy cuts in this year's state budget, is taking action through fundraisers. The ARC held their 8th Annual Enabler Golf Tournament at Pine Hills Golf Course this afternoon, raising money for the nearly 650 people they serve with developmental disabilities. The executive director says fundraisers, like this one, show the community what the Herkimer-ARC mission is all about.

Mr. Crosley says nearly 30 teams participated today, raising about $40,000 dollars. "New York state budget has not been kind to us and as a result agencies are looking for every way they can do generate revenues the best way they can. Fundraisers become very important. It's just great that every year they come out, regardless of the weather, a little chilly today then it has been but its a great day for golf," says Kevin Crosley, executive director of Herkimer-ARC. Mr. Crosley says nearly 30 teams participated today, raising about $40,000 dollars.
